Confidence Level Arbitration

The Confidence Level Arbitration role is similar to the Test Outcome Analysis role, but broader in scope. By analyzing multiple factors, including but not limited to test outcomes, and matching them against known criteria for confidence levels, this role determines when a certain subject (such as an artifact) has fulfilled the requirements for a particular confidence level.

Confidence Level Arbitration is a prime candidate for making use of an Event Analysis service, as the rules for determining whether a subject has succeeded or failed to attain a confidence level can be complicated, and involve large numbers of events.
